Diversity on the Shelf 2016

The Englishist

I am suppperrrr hyped for this challenge and plan on participating!

The purpose of the challenge is super simple: make a goal to read books by and/or about people of color throughout the year to encourage other readers to have a more diverse reading experience and to support diversity in the publishing industry.

My goal for this challenge is the 2nd shelf, which is to read 13-18 books by POC AUTHORS. This issue is so important to me as a reader because authors of color are just as important as having diverse characters. I will probably be making a page dedicated just to this challenge and you will be able to find it on the sidebar.I have also made a Goodreads shelf for it. So many thanks to Akilah for continuing this challenge!
